Ilocos Inspired Empanadas with CDO Regular Ham


lumpia wrapper  
1 whole egg  
¼ cup spring onions, chopped  
¼ cup green papaya, julienned
¼ cup bean sprouts  
¼ cup carrots, julienned  
salt and pepper
3 slices CDO Regular Ham (Sweet), diced  
1 cup cooking oil for deep-frying        
Ilocos vinegar for serving  


1. Arrange the lumpia wrapper in the center of the plate. Beat egg and season with salt  
2. In a bowl, mix in spring onions, green papaya, bean sprouts and carrots.  
3. Season the vegetable mixture with salt and pepper and toss. Then add the CDO Regular Ham.  
4. To make empanada: Place the vegetable and ham mixture on the center of the lumpia wrapper then add beaten egg.  
5. Seal in empanada by folding it in a half moon shape. Deep fry until crispy.  
6. Serve with Ilocos vinegar.
