CDO Holiday Ham en Croute


2 sheets puff pastry*  
¼ cup butter, melted
1 CDO Holiday Ham 
½ queso de bola, sliced  
1 cup shallots, sliced
1 cup red wine  
½ tsp. sugar  


1. Brush puff pastry with melted butter. Place CDO Holiday Ham and queso de bola slices on top of each other in the middle of puff pastry.  
2. Close pastry by sealing it on all corners into the middle so that the ham and cheese are inside.  
3. Once sealed, brush with more butter and bake in a 350˚ F oven for 45 minutes until cheese has melted (use BBQ stick to check).
4. While baking, sauté shallots in melted butter then deglaze pan with red wine. Gradually add in sugar, salt and pepper and stir until mixture is reduced and becomes syrupy. 

*Puff Pastry is a light, flaky pastry. This can be found (ready-to-bake) in the Frozen Section of supermarkets.
